Respect people
Do not bully, harass, threaten, stalk, shame or direct unwanted sexual behavior at another person. Hate or abuse targeting protected characteristics is not allowed.
Protect children
Child sexual abuse material, grooming, sexualization of minors, sextortion and attempts to arrange unsafe contact with a child are prohibited. Report an immediate risk to local authorities and use Mapinia reporting for the relevant account or content.
No pornographic or exploitative sexual content
Do not post pornography, graphic sexual activity intended primarily for arousal, content that facilitates prostitution or human trafficking, sexual exploitation, or intimate content shared without every depicted person’s consent. The sensitive-content label never permits this material.
No violent, illegal or dangerous content
Do not promote credible violence, terrorism, self-harm, illegal goods or services, or instructions intended to cause serious harm. Context such as awareness or recovery may be considered, but safety comes first.
Privacy, consent and authenticity
Do not expose another person’s private information or precise location without permission. Do not impersonate people or organizations, manipulate others through deception, or upload intimate media without the subject’s consent.
Spam, scams and platform abuse
Do not run scams, send repetitive unsolicited promotions, manipulate likes or follows, distribute malware, automate abusive behavior or attempt to bypass access, purchase or safety controls.
Sensitive content
Use the sensitive-content setting when appropriate, but do not treat it as permission to post prohibited material. A warning can reduce unexpected exposure; it does not make harmful or illegal content acceptable.
Location and event responsibility
Post only locations and event details you have the right to share. Do not reveal homes, schools, shelters or another sensitive place in a way that creates risk. Organizers and attendees must follow local law and venue rules.
Report and block
Use the relevant menu to report an account, location post, collection, comment, event, event post or event comment and choose the closest reason. Add only the details needed for review. Blocking is available to stop supported visibility and interactions and can be managed from Settings.
Enforcement and response
Mapinia may hide or remove content, warn or restrict users, preserve evidence and contact competent authorities where legally required. We prioritize child-safety and immediate-danger reports and aim to begin reviewing safety reports within 24 hours. Decisions consider severity, context, risk and repeated behavior.
